nope, but I have been contemplating it for along time. Most of my friends that have had it freaking love it! I have not yet heard from a person that I know that it has been a problem. That being said, I still am personally weary of it. I guess its the whole, you only have 2 eyes, and if you mess them up your pretty well stuck.
So for now, my Dr prescribed the Baush & Lomb PureVision 30 day disposables, and I LOVE them! Just leave them in for 30 days and throw them away. No fuss no muss. They feel great. I have toric lenses so they are a little blurry when I first wake up, but for no more then a minute or so.

I have been trying to get it for the last 4 years, but I keep coming short on the funds. I have very thin corneas, so I have to get intralasik, where they use a laser to slice the cornea instead of a microkeratoma.
I also was intrigued by Wavefront, where they burn off the outer cornea, as opposed to cutting a flap and burning the cornea underneath. But, as I would want to wear colored contacts sometimes, this option isn't the best for me.
I haven't checked into yet, but a doctor was recently telling me that now there are developments in ocular implants. This is something I definitely want to find out more about!
The success rate on the various types of Lasik, Lasak, PRK (yes they still do those) is phenominal. Of course do your research on the facility you choose, as well as the doctor that will actually be performing the procedure. I can't wait to do mine, and honestly, I can't imagine ever regretting have it done. In my research of customer reviews, even patients that had complaints about the office itself were still happy they had the operation.
Hopefully this helps. :)

One of my coworkers had it done about 6 months ago and he still raves about it. He says his favorite thing is that he can see cops from long distances away, and it has saved him a bunch of speeding tickets.

I would like to get it before bootcamp. Glasses don't sound all that fun for 8 weeks. From what I've read, they don't allow contacts since you don't have time for them.

Dude, seriously, I would highly recommend doing it before bootcamp. Just do it a while beforehand, so you have time to heal 100%. After surgery many doctors will tell you not to do any heavy straining and avoid any impacts to the head (derrr).
Really though. I went through boot camp with glasses, and it sucked balls. the big plastic ones they give you, you always have to worry about them falling off.... The WORST is these weird ones that go inside your gasmask. They never work right and you end up not being able to see sh!t. Then when you go to thew gas chamber and you have to take your mask off, your realy boned.
Good times...8)

My dad used to talk about them and a friend had to use them in basic. They're nicknamed BC glasses. I'll leave them at that for now. Mark_Hardware will know why, lol.
Back on track here Lasik is something I want to do but funds just aren't where they need to be to do it. I knew a lady who had it done way back when it was first introduced and still has no problem seeing. She loves it.

hehe - my wife calls the safety glasses I use when playing with the dremel BC's too - shame really cos I genuinely thought I had some fairly cool safety glasses heh :p
Note the sneaky way of giving a totally non-modding thread a (minor) modding angle :D

I would wait until something else comes along.
Then, one hundred and fifty years after the trials are over.
I probably still wouldn't get it done. One hell of a risk.
