I shot some video from my camera while sideways. Now, if I try to watch it on my computer, the video plays on it's side. Is there any software that will let me turn the video right-side-up and save it that way?

VLC has the capability to rotate the video for watching.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Once you open your video clip click on the Tools menu item and select "Effects and Filters"
This will open a settings window. At the top you will see "Video Effects" so select that tab.
You will see a series of new tabs. Select the "Geometry" Tab
Check the Rotate box, and set your angle using the dial.
It will at least let you watch the video rotated.
I do believe there is a way to save a file back out using VLC, but I am not sure what the process is.
Other video editors such as Adobe Premiere or Vegas Video might have the options to rotate and re-render the video out as a new file.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
I have no experience with this software, and am by no means promoting it, but this showed up in a quick google search:
