Try this:
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/login.php?do=logout&logouthash=83722c1b0798086008e9a32887d0e976

And log out from that page. (if the link works)

Yea, problem is with Internet Explorer.
May want to upgrade to Firefox 3.5. (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.5.2&os=win&lang=en-US) It's allot faster anyway.
Here are some useful Firefox Add-Ons (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/) you may be interested in.

Maybe try using Firefox in safe mode? There could be something preventing you from logging out and that might work. Seems to work for everything else anyways, starting things in safe mode that is. The Safe Mode for Firefox is usually under your all programs section in start.
