ok fine cancel that. not really my dream pc, but i was lookin at stuff, and just condering with every option available how much it would run me. so.. same stuff minus the alienware board and liquid cooling. id go with a dfi lanparty mobo, and a Thermaltake black Kandalf case.
My dream machine i worked out the cost is about Ł2100 (GBP), this includes:
Tyan Tiger Mobo (Dual Opteron with SLI PCI-e)
AMD OPteron 280 2.2GHz x2
2GB Samsung 2.5-2-2-2-3 ECC Memory (4x512MB)
Silverstone Case (Going to be modded only slightly)
250GB Sata 3 Segate Baracuda HDD x2 (Setup as standard drives, stuff all the raid crap)
400GB IDE ATA133
Trust Sound card (As stupid as it sounds i don't need top of the range sound, i only have a 2.1 speaker set)
XFX GeForce 7800GTX 256MB @ 490MHz x2 in SLI Mode
Beefy 800W PSU Min
Water cooled
Logitech G7 Laser Mouse
Logitech Gaming Keyboard (That one with a LCD Panel on it)
It is teh sexy
What do you think?

FX-60, DFI LP RDX, Dual X1900XTX's, X-FI, 8GB of ram, 4 500GB SATA drives, 4 Plextor PX-716a's, all watercooled like Pump-rad-CPU-rad-gpu-rad-gpu-rad-northbridge-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-res
=D
and of course, the largest case money could buy, so that i can fit all those radiators. =/
...... Pump-rad-CPU-rad-gpu-rad-gpu-rad-northbridge-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-hdd-rad-res
DUDE:eek: you would need the biggest resivour and pump money could buy to pump thay much fluid around!

1x AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 1GHz HT
1x ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Mobo
2x eVGA Geforce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16

Then, I'm take one of my older AT power supplies and use it for my TEC or water cooling (not sure yet), after that I'm gonna stuff it in my HUGE, soon-to-be-modded desktop case. That's right!! I said desktop!! Just to give you guys an idea... www.discountpc.net/products/GATEWAY_E1800_DESKTOP.JPG
It's kinda like that, except it's BIGGER and the CD-ROMs share the bay with a single floppy.
AAAAHHH!!! I can't the picture up!!! *smacks self on head*

you really dont need a res (backing up omega here) to runn water cooling. Best thing to do for him tho, would be to make like 2 or 3 loops.

I mean two SETS of 1GB DIMMs. So, yes, four modules. DDR needs a paired set to work.
Just finished it.
