I am getting a black Cooler Master 840 with a window. I would like to paint the interior red. I do not have the coin to get it done professionally and don't mind a slightly less pro job. I just want to do it as best as I can on my own. I would also like it to be as glossy and bright as possible. I was also thinking maybe a textured paint might hide any imperfections from me doing it myself. Anyone have any brands or methods of achieving this? Also, this may sound silly, but I remember watching Pimp my Ride on MTv and they would use a florescent orange undercoat to get the red to "pop" more. Might I try that, or would that end in tears?

i am not an painting expert by any means but i would get something scrape metal i ddint care about and practice a few diffrent methods.
I know Rust-Oleum makes a hammered paint that i beleive is fairley shiney
It has nice textured look to it they also have a wrinkle finish i dont think they shine that much though .
Ho that helps a little anyway .

Second the hammered paint, I love that stuff. It has more of a satin finish to it, but you can add the gloss with a clear top coat if you want.

Just be sure to clean everything and prime it well beforehand. Use a name-brand primer, generic is a disaster in a can. I've had excellent luck with Krylon primer.

And yes, by all means practice on scrap until you get what you want.

Good luck, we're expecting pics when it's done. :D
