Woot! I am excited. First time I've been able to work since getting sick and all the surgery crap. It isn't anything exciting, nor tech related this time, but I think I will like it.

I applied for a Pharmacy Technician job at CVS, and have an interview Tues, so I made it through the first portion! I don't know how the pay is where I live as it isn't as wealthy as where we used to live, but my fiance's friend started at $15/hr and within a few months was getting close to $30. This is the city so it won't be as much, but should be nice to work either way. I miss it a lot. It will be cool to get certified and all that stuff in something different, too.

Plus it is literally right behind my apartment, so it is right there. Walking distance. Will be nice to have some extra income to pay for food or whatever.

Oh, ya. Plus I filed my fafsa as independent this year, and got 12k+ in grants. Fricken YAY! No big student loans for me this year!!!

Hope you get the job! I had an interview last week at a place I wanted to work at, but then some chick walks in with her huge tah tah's and I pretty much knew my chance of getting the job just went out the window. I've always wondered why I never see any guy's working there...

Anyways, good luck!

Thanks guys. I figure it is something different, and right across the street and should pay decent enough for a college kid.

I really don't want another tech job right now, as between coding all the time, taking all tech classes, spending most of the school year fixing people's pc's, add another tech job onto that and I would probably get burnt out. I'd rather try something a bit different than what I am used to to liven things up a bit. :)

Awesome deal with the fasa grants. Man I wish I would have qualified for them.

Good luck on the job.

Thanks. Ya, I've had to take out some pretty big loans (at least to me) to pay these last couple years, so it's nice to be able to get a free year.

Well that was pretty quick. She asked the usual questions, like "Why do you want to work here? What are your strengths? Weaknesses?" etc. She seemed very nice, and seemed to like me.

She has one girl who had an interview today but just canceled and has to do it on Saturday, so she will make her decision after that.

So *crosses fingers*. It isn't the end of the world if I don't get this one, but it seemed like a good opportunity to try something new and a bit different. I like the idea of getting all my certifications in something different. Good down the line to fall back on for whatever reason.
