first mod

i got an old case off my day about a month ago and its just been chilling in my office... soooo ive decided its time to start my first mod

ill start by a simple layout of what i want to accomplish...
im putting a window in the side..
a 120mm fan in the front panel as intake
and a roof scoop with a 120mm fan as an axhaust
the case is now a cream color, but when done itll be jet black
the inside skeleton will have a dark dark flaked red
also red light bars and leds throughout

that is the same case i am modding now i got it from school when they were getting rid of old computers

Um, be careful... are you sure you have the tools you need to be doing this?

Just dont forget to hear protective gloves with those tin snips. They make nasty sharp edges that can cut fingers off if not carefull. Other wise, good luck.

no i know all about the right tools, i just dont have them... this case is my opennig debut. i know it will be alil sketchy but ill still like it. ive got it painted and will have pics up in a couple days

i found that the mounting brackets wont take my P4 style mobo, so i through my linux setup in there

It looks really nice, good even paintjob, but you might want to paint the bezels for your CD's as well. There's a good tutorial HERE (http://case-mods.linear1.org/case-mod-101-optical-drive-painting/). Would be nice if you could get some clearer pics as well-nice work buddy!

this case was ment for another pc but on installing the motherboard i found that i needed 4 more holes under the cpu heatsink i didnt feel like drilling them so i tossed an old hp mobo in and threw linux on it... i got some diff cd drives cuz i didnt want to put my good ones in so i think they will stay beige and white for now till i get some diff hardware to put in there
