Lot's of Stuff with this Board!

So I got my hands on one of those BTX gateway cases. I needed a motherboard for it so I went to Geeks (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=D955XCS&cat=MBB) and found one for only $24

I open the box and was stunned! It came with tons of stuff!!

I got:

8 blue SATA cables
A 2 USB IO adapter
A 3.5 inch bay device with 2 USB's, speaker jack, and 1394
2 IDE cables (1 single device and 1 dual device)
A 4-pin to 8-pin adapter
A 4-pin molex to single SATA power
A 4-pin molex to dual SATA power
2 CD's, 2 floppies
A setup guide, a HUGE poster showing all the connections, and a sticker showing the motherboard layout to put in the case

I needed a Micro BTX, not full BTX so it won't fit in the Gateway case!:facepalm:

Oh and that single device IDE cable - it's probably a floppy cable...

Still - one hell of a bundle, that's for sure!

It's almost worth buying just for the goodies! :D

Can the case be modified to have the PSU mount on top/bottom and have the extra slots rise up into where the PSU would normally be at the top of the chassis, or are there drives in the way? I'd just build a custom enclosure for the PSU, drill a giant routing hole in the top under the enclosure (hood-scoop-shaped, in my mind), and run the cables down if they're long enough. You'd have to cut up an old case and use part of the backplate to add the extra slots, as well as mounting some new motherboard standoffs for the larger board, but it could turn very cool very quickly if you did it right (and I know you can, 'cause you have).

These folks (http://www.serversupply.com/products/part_search/pid_lookup.asp?pid=102661) have an okay Intel mBTX board for $41 shipped; here's (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=209006603&listingid=36236844) basically the same deal from buy.com via LegendMicro.

Both suppliers seem to be well-rated.

This (http://oemxs.us/shopping/index.php?target=products&product_id=30169) might be a deal, too.

If you're willing to spend $40, there's plenty of mBTX boards around. I'm sure there are even better deals to be had, but these stood out.

Damn, those are sexy cables too! Have you priced IDE and SATA cables lately? They want like 4-10 bucks each!
