That bill is right on her web, no foreshortening effect, to give you an idea of her size.
And here's another one, living large on the butterfly bushes in the front of our house. This one is a little bigger than the first.

They show up every year, and usually end up standing guard over my tomato plants. :D

No more spiders!
...but but but, spiders are one of natures most beneficial creatures. In the garden they control pests like no other (except birds). Near the house they control other flying nasties...
If they come into the house, they get a quick deportation to the garden...
I have not seen one yet this year, but usually in my back yard I can find some pretty huge wolf spiders. Carry off the baby and small pets kind of huge! I will go on a spider hunt for some shots.

That would imply that I had a hundred dollars. I had to borrow the $20 to make the shot! :)

My home is pretty much spider free - thanks to a combination of the wife and the dog...
I know there's a spider somewhere when I hear a scream, shortly followed by "Taukus!!!! cmere!" (the dog is called Taukus cos when he was a pup we thought he was trying to talk us to death - wife came up with it, I agreed because after 3 weeks I was sick of him NOT having a name lol)
Btw - he eats 'em *shrug* he's weird

I don't care if they're around so much as when they get in to my pajamas...
I saw a nest in my pajamas, damn near burned my room down.

Somebody get my shotgun!
I'm still killing spiders off my truck project!
The ones I hate the most are the ones that are white, and smaller then a tick. Don't know what they are called.

Outside they're fine, inside wife goes nuts. Outside gotta love em, we live kinda close to a marshy area = bugs. We like to see bats too for the same reason, except we don't get bats in the house.

I was looking on my camera and found a couple spider pictures and thought I'd share. This guy was on the inside of the door next to the handle and gave me a surprise when I went to close the door on my way in.
Then a more recent spider, April 26th to be exact, that was on my wall.
