Today a pack of wild bulldogs gather between the hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. Their sole purpose? To ring the necks of some chickens from the University of South Carolina. This is sure to be a blood bath with the chickens on the losing end. After all the only food them DAWGS like more than Auburn Tiger Meat is the fresh flesh of South Carolina chicken.

Its GREAT to be a Georgia Bulldog, I said it's GREAT to be a Georgia Bulldog!!!!!

G!-E!-O!-RRRRRR!-G!-I!-A! Goooooo DAWGS!!! SIC EM!!!!

Yea, the same team that got beat by a couple of northern nuts? The same team that got stung by some bees last season?

The puppies need to go back to the animal shelter and the parents should be put down... :whistler:

Least with real football the main part of the game is played with the FOOT touching the BALL - foot-ball - geddit? :p

Real Football is played with an oblong ball made out of pigskin and 300lb guys wearing lots of plastic, carbon fiber and helmets that could survive a plane crash.

Actually, Rugby doesn't have any of that last stuff...

Meh. The NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) is much much better than the Bowl Subdivision. At least they do it right--only one championship game, not a bunch of silly bowl games.

Go Griz!

I agree and would love to see it go to a playoff / tourny system. They could set it up like the hugely successful NCAA basketball tourny and it would work great. The reason they stick with the BCS system is that there is too much money made during the bowl games. USC (university of southern california) is the major reason they will not move to a tourny style system. From what I have read and heard USC has refused to even talk about anything other than the BCS because with out the BCS they would have to fight to make it to the championship every year. They also make millions on the rosebowl every year.

yeah the BCS is a bunch of crap. lol Definitely think they should change to a 64 team tournament like basketball.

speaking of college football, anyone catch the fresno state - wisconsin game? really really good :) double overtime! or the Central Michigan - Michigan state game? what an onside kick!! (I love college football, much better than the pros, other than the BCS bull****)

I guess Georgia has to win some games...

In regards to a football tourny, a 64 team tournament would would be impossible because of season and class schedules. It would have to be a 16 team tournament at most, and an 8 team tournament would be most likely.

I don't think it would be too impossible. Basketball players are still in class during the tourny. I have a longer post to write but I need to head over to my grandmothers.

its harder for a team to play more than one game in a week in football than in basketball. football is very physically and mentally demanding! you gotsta prepare some strategy for your opponents. that would be the only downfall for such a big tourney. so yeah, I guess you are right, would have to be 16 or so. (thats how many they do for Idaho's High School State Championship, iirc)

I played football so I know its limits. I say just have each conference champ in the tourny. No wild cards, no special entries. Just conference champions. They can still have the bowl games for the non tourny entries and still make $$

Oh please, Hockey is a much more physically and mentally demanding sport and they play several times a week. Sometimes they play back to back games, but still several times a week. If you get hurt they patch you up (sometimes with many stitches) and send you back on the ice. Hell you can get hit so hard, it makes you spit out chicklets and they STILL send you back on the ice. They don't let you sit around and wait for a week for your next game...
