This is extremely depressing and annoying.
I was awaken at 1:30am with a thump in my ear that sounded like a heart beat. It was at a regular thumping pace but then it slooowed down and scared the **** out of me until I checked my actual pulse and determined it wasn't related.
Regardless, I have this annoying ass thumping in my ear. I did some research and found it was "Tensor Tympani syndrome" or stapedial click which is a muscle spasm in the inner ear and I'm worried it's sudden decision to pop up may be something to do with whatever that "rushing" feeling is that I've been getting every night.
