I saw these ages ago and I think I started a thread on them at the time but I can't remember. When I weighed everything up and just looked at the unit it just wasn't for me, plus the price tag is insane. I would only get a unit like that specifically as a racing SIM module and even then I could make something for less than a third of the price, and it would be more suited for the task. As a desk it just doesn't have enough room, then again it is only meant to be used for a PC.

I've always thought that thing was the bastard child of an octopus and an electronic drumset. And the Ozboy is right--you can build something ten times better for 1/3 of the price.

I don't think it justifies the amount of space it takes up. If you are going to have a dedicated area like that, then at least try to have a little good design involved.

I would use a comfortable home theater recliner and add a subwoofer and bass shaker to it, a full enclosure for a more immersive arcade experience or a monitor mount on rollers so that it can be adjusted for the reclined position of the chair.

I would probably do other things too, but that is just a decent start. For games like flight sims or racing sims I would use a more authentic seat. It's as if they weren't even thinking.

Haha! These just look ridiculous to me. To justify the price tag, that monitor and speaker setup had better be high quality in addition to a very comfortable chair. The seat looks to be adjustable, but if it's not.../slap. The desk space just looks terribly inefficient...do computer users really need 6-8 mini-desks all on different vertical levels? Wouldn't 1-2 levels be more efficient for both the manufacturer and the consumer?

Judging from the web page layout and lack of an 800 number, it appears to be a pretty small company building these. Plus, you can only order over the phone, which would make me a little leery when I have no record of my order.

...and I used to think http://www.xoxide.com/3rdspace-gamingvest-black.html was ridiculous...

When that vest was on sale for $75 I was pretty tempted to get it. I like innovation and try to support it. I also have a Novint Falcon. It's pretty awesome, especially since all Valve games are now supported.

I gotta be honest, that thing looks like crap.

I also have a Novint Falcon.

We got a bunch of those sitting around the department....doing nothing. If valve are supporting them, maybe I can steal one...
