I have to have a minimum amount of hours of job searching/filling out applications per week and I just read that filling out online applications counts toward this goal. So I know Flying J and Pizza Hut have online applications, but I don't know of any others. Anyone want to help me track down more? It can be basically any place of work that doesn't require something like X years of experience. So like Fast Food, Restaurants, Home Depot, etc etc.
Thanks for the help! I appreciate it very much!

Just finished Flying J, they only do online so I had no choice. Half an hour for the main part, then I had to answer 224 questions! It took me 40 minutes! lol
Thanks for the sites. I'm sure a lot of them offer online applications, but I was just having a hard time thinking of places and the few places that I did think of didn't have an online application process.
I should have thought of walmart though, they're right down the street for the love of mike. lol

Yea, that's no joke. You know what's sad? I've been searching for three months now, and even at fast food places. Nobody is hiring around here, its crazy. I knew it was bad, but I always thought "well, at least there is flipping burgers", well, apparently not actually. ><
I walked into our local wendy's, and the places had more employees working there than I've ever seen at a fast food place before. (probably cheaper to hire multiple employee's at low hours than few employee's at long hours?)
I had an interview at long last the other week after I stopped calling in and finally just went in and asked for the manager, he gave me an interview along with a few other people and I never heard back from him. Pretty sure the cute chick with the huge knockers got the job lol EVERY employee there was a female too so hmm.

HOLY CRAP! I got a job! Three months, going on four, with about 60 submitted applications and I finally got a job!
MAKING PIZZA! How perfect can you get?? haha
Sort of a pointless post, but holy hell I am excited and so relieved. I was about to be basically homeless here by November, so this is really good timing. Well, not good, good would have been 3 months ago lol but man that was shaving it close.
Woohoo!

Congrats!
I thought I would add that there's always the option of self-employment depending on your skill set. I'd be making custom t-shirts and buttons before I let myself become homeless. Anything but that...:)
Congrats!
I guess I've been really lucky, not really having been affected at all by the recession that apparently happened. I got my current job in July 08, a little before the recession started I think(?), and since then I'm pretty sure the company has actually grown quite a bit, so I've been pretty well isolated from it. Around here there doesn't seem to be any lack of jobs; heck, Micro Center is even hiring. If I didn't already have an awesome, better paying job..not in retail..., I'd seriously consider them.

haha heck yes it took some worry away. I went from on the verge of a panic to feeling like I'm floating on a cloud. ...one that makes my feet and back hurt. lol so not used to working a stand-up, no sit-down job. I'm definitely going to be "gelin".
I also haven't had a phone since like feburary, so hot damn I can't wait to buy one! I'm thinking the Samsung Trance with the $35 texting only plan with Verizon. It's not like I ever use calling anyways and if I do, its like $2 every 5 minutes. Plus I get unlimited web browsing. :p
I wish I could connect it to my PC, but they don't offer that service through that plan, only through certain calling plans. T_T
I was also thinking about getting a Verizon Netbook, but at $60 a month, hell no. haha maybe once its cheaper. I'd pay $40 gladly, since that's what I usually pay for internet, but not for 250mb or whatever it is. That's ridiculous!! How can you go from that to 5gigs at $60?? That's just outright theft. I'd maybe get the $40 plan if it was like $15 or maybe $20. man I can't wait until those plans go down...
Edit: Oh yea, thought this was kind of funny. I was working next to a guy today and I asked him how long he had been working here. His answer? "Well, I kind of own the place". LMAO I was like "oh. oh! oh hi.. uhm.. yea, I'll start going faster just give me a chance!" haha
