USB Powered CCFLs

Didn't know where else to put this topic so here goes...

As the title states I'm looking for a cold cathode light(s) for a cd lamp project I'm working on. Only problem is I would like it to be USB powered. Since the USB ports only put out 5v its making the task of finding such CCFLs rather difficult.

So do any of ya know of any places that sell cathodes that run off 5v instead of 12v? or any other ideas on how to go about doing this?

You can run them off 5v, they are just really really dim and kinda defeat the purpose. I've done it before just to see. I dunno about USB though, it's rather limited on the current it can put out.

The best you could do is either LED strip, or get a 12v wallwart.
