Nope, you're correct, the 5700 series isn't "out" yet. The NDA lifts within the next 8 days (educated guess, I know it is has at maximum a 11 day life left, tops), and you should find cards on the shelves at that time.

I wouldn't say that the 5750 will be a slow card in any sense of the word.

I think the cost difference between 1GB and 512MB is so small now, it's not worth the saving to lose the "kudos" of it being a full gig - most people now call 512MB half a gig anyway and it doesn't sound as "good"
