Bondo + aluminum ?

Does bondo work on aluminum? What kind should I get?

Yes, bondo works pretty well on aluminum. Get either the original Bondo or the fiberglass Bondo. Just make sure that it's the regular stuff, not something that serves a different purpose.

If your going to put more then a skim coat on the Aluminum you'll want to rough up the area a little with some sandpaper before you apply the bondo, just to give it something to bite on too.

Also if the area can flex it's better to go with the fiberglass stuff as the fibers help hold it together, the regular stuff will crack when flexed! (after it's fully cured!)
