Part I - Removal of the X-Box360 Outer Shell

Before you can begin the vast majority of X-Box 360 Mods, the first thing you need to do is strip down your console. This guide will take you, step-by-step, through the process of safely disassembling, and reassembling your X-Box360. Following these steps WILL void any remaining warranty on your X-Box so proceed only if your warranty has expired, or you don't mind voiding it.

LOL - that's kinda the point my man :P Anyway, how is that a problem? :D

Difference is, now you'll (hopefully) be able to get into it without breaking stuff - MS freely admits that they went out of their way to make it impossible to get into for the man in the street...

It's just my impression of a file is more like an axe. To be fair I have disembled my old xbox (and managed to break half the clips on the way.) I am certainly going to see what I can do to my elite. Maybe windows n lights and stuffs..... Who knows!

I'm thinking part 3 or 4 will be a window - not 100% sure yet - Part 2 I've decided on, 3 and 4 are interchangeable at the moment because they're both do-able after part 2 and don't rely on each other at all

Yeah, it isn't the prettiest layout ever - but with a little light, a little paint, and a little ingenuity *grin* - I have plans, as you can probably imagine :P Doesn't have to be a full case window, after all...

Nope, as the article clearly states, neither I nor TBCS want anything to do with that side of modding - this series is about looks and repairs to common faults.
