Hey,

I made an attempt to create a awesome beer case mod (Heineken in this case). I know it's been done quite a few times, but the ones that are made already don't look that good. I want to use the case as a mediacenter, so It's gonna be stuffed with 5x500GB disks (2.5TB).

The idea i had, to create a better and more original beer case PC was to create a fullfledged case. It's modular, with racks, so everything can be placed and removed without too much trouble.

Everything is to be mounted properly in the case, proper ATX motherboards fit in the case, and the cdrom and hdd racks can hold normal devices.

I'm very curious to find out what you guys think of the mod. It's been done so many times, it's interesting to know how it turns out, comparing it to other cases.

The empty case:

The racks:

The case with everything mounted inside:

And the almost finished case:

I just need to finish the power button, I want to make the red star turn the mediacenter on and off.

Edit: I uploaded some more images, you can check them all here. (http://www.bytemods.com/mods/54/beer_case_mediacenter.html)

I'm thinking about building a lid, made out of plexiglass. My main concern for this mod is the temperature of the cpu and harddisks, and I can create a much better airflow with a lid on it.

I'd say to keep it in the fridge, but if your friends are like my friends...they drink all your beer!

Take it to the next level--Water Cool it!

Water-cool with beer bottle reservoirs?

I don't think that would work due to the carbonation of the brew. Well, it could if you let the beer go flat first. But I wonder what it would do to the blocks? The tubing would be able to handle the temps.

I would think that bubbles would be desirable also. ;)
