Thoughts? Opinions? Personally, I think I may be in love. That is one of the sexiest looking readers I've ever seen. Hell, its one of the sexiest devices I've ever seen! Now here's the question, which is better? Kindle or Nook?

Looks nicer then the Kindle, now whats funny is that at the top of the page at least for me is a Kindle ad.

It looks like the bottom of the reader has a color touchscreen that is hopefully e-ink as well. If so I would choose this over kindle. Price seems attractive as well.

E-ink doesn't come in color. Not yet anyways. The closest thing is the post I submitted a bit earlier today called "Pixel Qi", it's a hybrid of sorts. They took existing technology and messed around with it to create an "e-ink-ish" display, instead of creating brand new technology such as e-ink. The outcome is a sort of best of both worlds while being a good bit cheaper since its using pre-existing and widely available technology - aka the LCD screen.

Anyways, it's more than likely just a normal LCD screen. It could be OLED tech, but at that price, I doubt it.

Depending on the reviews, just going off of aesthetics and what we know thus far alone, I'd choose this over the Kindle any day. We'll see for sure of course once the reviews start hitting the web, but it looks pretty good as of right now. Barnes and Noble isn't exactly your everyday one of a million company. I mean, it's BARNES AND NOBLE. That does carry a bit of weight, so hopefully this will be pretty good. In any case, its fairly safe to assume that the Kindle just got a serious competitor, unless this device fails spectacularly bad.

You know what I'm thinking? That 3.5" Color Touch Screen looks like an iPod Touch... Games? Apps? Movies?? Now that'd be cool.

Anyways, the Nook is live! And I'm digging it. Check out the website for all the information you could possibly want.

I didn't know it was based on Android. That's pretty cool. Now it REALLY needs to get some Apps and Movies! I mean c'mon! That little display would be perfect for that!

I'd definitely go with the Nook, especially if they work the loaning feature better.

The display at the bottom is a lcd touchscreen for selecting books/etc, though theoretically I imagine you could do movies on it...

I think the three biggest improvements over the Kindle are WiFi, microSD slot, and Android.

Personally I think the kindle looks like cheap plastic crap. This looks pretty solid though.
