AMD (http://www.amd.com) has announced a new batch of low power CPUs in Dual, Triple and Quad-core, most of which have a very low 45w TDP. In real terms this translates into much lower cooling requirements, as well as potentially smaller space requirements. Maybe we'll soon be seeing a resurgence in the SFF (small form factor) modding scene as these processors are being marketed as ideal for ultra small PC's but with the AM3 compatibility, your imagination is the limit.
