Just received about 30 emails from what seemed to be delivery notice emails from the big 3 shipping companys. all were Service@dhl-usa.com, service@fed-ex.com, service@ups-usa.com Each one contained a packet.revolt virus. The emails contained a message that said "We were unable to deliver a recent package to your address. You can pick it up at our shipping hub. Please print out the attached packing slip and bring it with you." When you unzip the attachment the virus rears its ugly head. I was lucky and it was caught by malwarebytes and avg.
Make sure you got some protection running before opening any emails from service@ addresses.
Another good thing is to check the delivery addresses for any such emails you're not expecting; ex:
DHL: dhl.com
FedEx: fedex.com
UPS: ups.com
as far as I know, they all operate world wide, with no regionally specific email contact domains.

Yeah, thanks for the warning. I have gotten into the habit of checking the header to see exactly who sent it, even if it's from a friend or family member. By doing so I've avoided several phishing scams targeting my BofA, Ebay, and other accounts.

I have fun with those types of emails, especially if they make it to my gMail account. I'll fire up Ubuntu, click through to the phishing site and give them some rather colorful login credentials.

Just checked mine, and I haven't gotten this. :( I do have a marriage offer, something about "shes still sore," and someone hates my son who doesn't exist. :D

I've got "Apple is a pirate company" and "Static electricity in cellphones", but not this one. Ah well, nothing averted.

Seems they pulled it last year too.
