it is not a matrix computer...just a style. i need to rename it though.

they grey part will be the window.

the interior will be white light or UV i havent decided yet. it is going to be a vinyl over acrylic.

here is the design of the front:

btw the black part is going to be a 6 inch lcd monitor, and the part below will be a stealth Dual Layer Plextor. the black circles are going custom lit purple vandel switches. there are to switches in the picture but there will be 5. two for power/reset, 1 for the cd drive, one for the monitor, and the last one hasn't been decided.

I'm liking the paint scheme idea. I don't think the background in white detail looks Matrix at all.

if you mean the the faded grey part, thats going to be back lit acrylic.

What colour are you going to back light it? It looks cool :)

I'm curious as to how you're going to go about this paintjob, are you planning to paint the whole thing, and then use an engraving peice to scrape out your letters? Cos that looks like a whole lot of masking tape otherwise :D

i have a friend who can make vinyls for me, so with that im putting it over the acrylic and then backlighting it with white cold cathodes.

i say that you should use 2 side windows, like one of mesh and the other acrylic. I think that would look really sharp

i really dont like mesh for windows, i prefer plain acrylic, but i might do the two side windows.

Sounds cool, I am planning a similar case made with acrylic and vinyl decals. Looks very promising, just be careful when applying the decals and make sure you kow what your doing. I'm not advertising or anything, but a lot of people have been asking about my 15" white cold cathodes, they are available in my eBay store for reference. So many modders asked for the, I put them up. here is a link:
