Just a simple, quick prop for Halloween. I will be going as Caleb from Blood, and I wanted this as a prop.

First I needed to do a little research. Because I don't have a copy currently I needed a way to look over the game. I didn't have to look far though because a fellow on Youtube I follow was doing a Blood walk-through at that time (Check him out at: http://www.youtube.com/user/Forsete )! Using his videos I was able to figure out the details of the Dynamite Bundle. I figured out it was made up of seven pieces, had what looked to be a leather band holding it together, and judging by how much Caleb's hand covered the bundle compared to my own hand I figured they need to be roughly 8" long.

Going to the hardware store and holding seven pieces of dowel together I figured 1" Diameter would be perfect. So two 48" Long 1" Diameter was more then enough to make it. The paint is just red paint. I found the cheapest stuff I could! Haha! For the fuse I am using picture wire. This way I can hold a lighter to it, and not have to worry about it. To fit it I may try a test piece with just drilling a hole in the dowel, and driving the wire in with a punch. If that doesn't work I have some wooden plugs that I can use. Just drill the end of the dowel out, and drill a small hole in the plugs. Thread the wire through the small hole, and tie it off on the back. Then I just have to hammer the plug into the dowel.

To act as the leather band I just have some brown electrical tape.

Enough talk.

They were cut with just a chop saw. Then deburred with some sandpaper.

I painted half, let it dry, then painted the other half.

Just needs a fuse now.

Looks good! Personally I'd triple the width of the electric tape, but thats just my opinion.

+1 on making the tape thicker. in the screenshots the bundling material looks to be about 2" thick or so. otherwise, badass man! too bad it wasnt real dynamite... :P

I did just that after taking the picture infact! :D

If I decide to do a more realistic one, I may look for some lightly smaller OD tubing, and wrap it in red paper. None of the real stuff though! :bunny:
