I would like to pursue this little project some day, but until then, have at it.

I want to make a computer that hangs on a wall in so many picture frames.

The motherboard in one picture frame, the HDD's in separate frames in a master/slave chain to the motherboard frame, CD and DVD drives in a master/slave chain to the motherboard frame, and flat wires connecting everything together in "Tech Deco" style. A bit far fetched, yes, but an idea.

What I would recomend is building a backboard that all of the seperate frames mount on. That way It could be painted/textured like the wall. This would give the option to route wires in front or behind the backboard and giving you the option to put some out of sight and also give you a little depth to work with so that you could sink your PSU or optical drives in and show as much or as little as you wish. Could hang the back board in segments for easier removal or as one monstrosity to avoid seeing the seams.
Sounds like a cool idea and could match it with wireless mouse/keyboard, wireless network card, and LCD monitor to keep it nice and neat. Hope you have an opportunity to do this one soon. Would be great to see it.
