So what little things that other people do, or say that drive you crazy?

Mine are.

1. When your G/F calls you her lover on FB.... Thats just a little to mushy for me.

2. When someone is talking to you and they jump from topic to topic with out getting to the point of any of them.

3. People who cover their car in political election stickers and don't take them off after the election.

4. When people don't wash the brake dust off their wheels.

5. When I ask the g/f where does she want to go eat and she says "I don't care, you pic a place" and I pick a place and she then says "oh, anywhere but there"

6. When you buy lettuce and the inside is all white leaves.

7. Someone seeing me with my cameras, either photographing a game or a person and asking me "hey are you a photographer?"

8. Someone seeing my laptop on the score table at a sporting even and trying to tell me how my photos would look better if I had a MAC because MAC's are better with photos.

9. The one photo hog at a wedding reception. You know the distant cousin who just has to have her photo taken with every single last person at the reception.

10. When you are eating potato chips and or fries and you bite into that burnt or bad one.

People who "forget" to use turn signals.

Dumb people.

1. People who cannot spell. If you absolutely have to update your FB status, or Tweet, learn to spell. "Common peopel, lurn too spell!"
2. People who mis-use the words they're, there, and their, or too and to.
3. Punctuation and capitalization people... use them, and use them properly.
4. Outspoken, opinionated people who are completely misinformed about things.
5. People who speed through playground/school zones.
6. People who tailgate me.
7. People who drive drunk/stoned.
8. People who run stop signs and red lights intentionally.
9. Overly negative people who try to convince you that your dreams and goals are unrealistic or ridiculous.

How about people who stand over you the whole time you are fixing their stuff? That drives me crazy.

How about people who stand over you the whole time you are fixing their stuff? That drives me crazy.

When I had my first job in field service, my manager showed me how to deal with people like that. Put down your tools, stop what you are doing and give the person your FULL attention and converse with them. Pretty soon they realize they need to go away or nothing will get done. Especially when they are paying by the hour. Works most of the time.

When I go someplace holding my helmet, dressed in my riding gear and they ask me if I ride a motorcycle... (see #2 on my first post)

People who drive 10 miles below the speed limit and will not use a turnout even when the sign says: "Slower traffic MUST use turnouts". Then they get mad at the people honking at them.

Lane splitters that ruin it for the rest of us. (for any number of reasons...)

Facebook.

Myspace.

Twitter. Especially Twitter.

That 5-note Intel sound they crammed down my throat for so long. (That still comes up in therapy.)

Stupid people. Sadly, stupid people are the majority of the ones that keep me gainfully employed and my family fed. On the good days I'm able to smile at their stupidity and the profit I make off of it, but most of the time they just piss me off.

I'm reminded of a Dilbert quote (talking to Dogbert, after Dilbert had a run-in with the boss): "I've figured out what's wrong in life...it's other people."

So here we go...

1) Everything Luke listed. Couldn't have put it better myself.
2) The title of this thread. It should be "What're your pet peeves?" or "What are your pet peeves?" :D
3) Coworkers who give me projects at the end of the day or at the last minute and expect me to drop everything and work on their thing.
4) People who are overly insistent on getting tiny details right that really, truly, don't matter. Know where to draw the line folks! :)
5) Kitchen sink full of dirty dishes (with some old food) and the washcloth that's supposed to be used to clean the dishes sitting somewhere in the pile, instead of off to the side where it will stay cleaner.
6) Typos! (Ever notice how our abbreviation for "typographical error" looks like it could be a Greek word? Cool!)
7) Working on my mod, discovering I got something wrong, and having to re-do it. Repeat this scenario ad infinitum.
8) I have a pickup. I try to not wedge it in to parking spots that are too small. Therefore, it is HIGHLY irritating when someone parks their car 3 inches from my driver's side door. I recall seeing, no joke, this rather large woman in a parking lot, after she'd wedged her car into a spot that was far too small, she attempted to get out, and kept banging her door into the car next to hers. And once out, she just walked away. grrr.....I checked the other car for damage, I would have left a note on it had there been any.

Oh man Airbozo...you remind me of a time when I had to drive southeast from Thousand Oaks in California to Los Angeles, about 40-ish miles. I took Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway), as it's a much prettier drive, and got stuck behind this guy that was going about 30mph in a 45mph zone. He finally did use a turnout, probably the 3rd or 4th one we came upon. The really funny part was, when I was headed back to Thousand Oaks later in the day, I passed the SAME GUY on Highway 1 going north, AND HE WAS STILL GOING 15MPH UNDER THE LIMIT!!! Couldn't believe it...got a pretty good laugh out of it. Luckily on the way back there was more than one lane where I passed him.

1. Opening the microwave before the time is done & leaving the remaining time on the display.
2. Not putting the toothpaste cap fully on (just pushing it on the end).
3. Decisions that management make to make their jobs easier but make everyone else's jobs 10x more difficult.

We can add one more to my list.

People who do not know how to speak their proper language. (example below)

I have been running adds on modeling sites looking for a few new models who want to trade pics for time. This week I got 2 replies from beautiful women who would be great to add to my portfolio. I ask them all for a short bio and hear are their replies.

Girl 1:
Dis B who I B. I is a girl who keeps it real and looks good. Ive been modelin for 4 years and ready to break out into da world. I can shoot on saturdayz and thursdayz. I am down for whateva you want to shoot. I can dress classy, thug, or sexy jus let me kno.

Girl 2:
I have been modeling for 2 years now and I love it. Last year I went 2 Miami 2 shoot with 2 photographers you mite no. My modeling style is more fashion and glamor than artistic. I like going 2 tha beach 4 shoots bcuz it makes the photoz look better. If you want 2 shoot with me hit me up.

Note: Those sound stereotypical and a little racist. These are exact copies from the messages they sent me on the modeling site.

People who drive 5mph under the speed limit and then you go to pass them and they speed up so you can't pass them...then you go behind them again and then they go even slower.

Politicians and politics in general, both at a national level and a business level. Just do your ****ing job and get on with it.

Drama queens. I thought about adding /kings to the list, but lets face it, there is no such thing.

Attention whores. See above.

Babies going through the teething stage. Yes I love my little boy, but damnit it hurts getting bit in the shin. Especially if you are wearing shorts.

That's just the current ones. My personal pet peeve list changes hourly it seems. Something is always pissing me off anymore.

People who have a long list of pet peeves but who will leave them unattended so they can still have something to complain about :p

Yeah I know not everything can be fixed, but the number of things that "really annoy" some people which can be sorted in a relatively short timescale never fails to amaze me. One prime example would be the gate at my moms which has been failing to close properly for nearly a year and driving her nuts (which she's apparently mentioned to everyone under the sun, except me!), which took me about 12 seconds with a screwdriver to fix.....

I hate it when people pass you then as soon as they get around you they turn .
I hate it when a product is labeled as being on sale but rings up wrong then the cashier acts like it pisses them off at me .
I am not the .....nut that entered it wrong .
I am also with goat people that smell bad lol

When people slow down while driving for no apparent reason until suddenly they hit the turn signal 1-2 seconds before the turn.

When someone you haven't talked to in a few months shoots you a text asking how you've been, only to find out they just want you to fix their computer.

When someone uses the red ring of death in an argument about why I don't have a PS3. Especially when I don't know them.

I'll find more and edit this probably.

- People that are in the inside turn lane and cut to the outside lane during their turn.
- Couples that call each other the same name. (honey, baby, hun, babe, etc...)
- People that complain all the damn time.
- "flats" (the shoes)

- Teachers that say homework is absolutely due the next week and then decide that they want you to turn it in with a bunch of other papers another day.

Addendum to this; when a teacher says a huge paper is definitely due this specific day, with huge penalties for every day late, for months before the due date...and then when you're the only one who turns it in on time, they end up pushing back the due date till 'whenever' for everyone else, with no consequences...grrr..happened to me my senior year in high school...

Ok I have another one and its new..........

The stupid idiot who sits in the home depot parking lot for over 7 minutes waiting for a car to back out of a space when there is a empty space 4 freaking spaces down from it. I got some serious road rage today when this happened. The damn car behind me wouldn't back up so I could and this **** for brains ass-hole in front of me in her Prius just sits there waiting on this lady to unload her shopping cart and then put up her buggy and take another 3 min to back out of the space. The dum **** in front of me just sits there talking on her cell waiting on the woman to back out while there is a free space 40 feet away. I honked my horn, yelled out my window and may have cursed a few times.

She sat in her car until I went inside the store.

J/k...I'd have rammed her car into an empty spot. I've been doing pretty good at keeping my anger in check lately though. I inherited a short temper from my dad...thanks dad!
Something I was taught when learning to drive in the city: keep enough 'escape room' between you and the car in front. It's been a while since I was 15 but I still remember the instructor saying that. Reason: car jacking teams often box people in so they can't drive away and then rush the driver's door. They either rob you and take your car or just beat you to death. e.g. gang initiation. It's frighteningly common in cities around here...so, it's always a good idea to leave some room, even if you're only trapped because the drivers around you are complete morons that live in their own moronic world...which brings me to my pet peeve:

people that are too dumb for their own good.

I'm not talking about undereducated people. Intelligence is separate from knowledge. I cannot stand people that are content with their own abysmally low aptitudes. It's ridiculously common here (where I am, not this site...just thought I'd better clarify ;)) and is prevalent in the lower, middle and upper classes.

Might as well go for a twofer:

Faith and the concept of religion.

Enough said.

One of my pet peeves is i work at a cabinet door shop .
It never fails the people that have either more money or more credit than they know what to do with it come in and want the higher priced woods like Cherry ,Maple even Lyptus and mahogany .
All in my opinion are beautiful woods .Well then they proceed to have it stained so dark that it basically looks like you painted it on .
I am in no way an expert on staining but when you put so much you cant see the grain its painting not staining . It just drives me nuts most of the people know sh... about wood they just want to blast out some expensive wood to there friends the real victim here is the wood lol . Thanks for this thread .
