I like anywhere that's not my place of employment. Home works great.

I have to say that I did have an excellent time in Key West, though. Love to go back.

My top 10 best so far. (no order)

Destin, Florida - The clubs, white sand beaches, Drunk college chicks,
Panama City Beach, Florida - The whole strip
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Sea Pines, and just about every bar on the island.
Isle of Palms South Carolina - The beach full of Millionaire Cougars
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - The whole Strip
Charleston, SC - Market Street, Folly beach, Sullivans Island, The Battery
Tybee Island, Georgia - The whole island
Savanna, Georgia - River Street

My favorite vacation so far is any vacation where I take a cruise. Being on a ship for a week and forgetting about the outside world is the most relaxing experience ever.

Scotland. Just about anywhere but I prefer the Highlands or the south west.
Kauai, Hawaii. Lush, tropical, tons of cool hikes, great beaches (some quite private).
Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Great food, great people, lots of cool diving and wonderful beaches.
Sinkyone Wilderness, northern California. Terrain so rugged, it is the only place that HWY1 had to be detoured inland. Where the redwoods meet the ocean and the cliffs drop off straight down into the beaches and ocean. The main trail winds its way along the cliffs just above the beaches (from dozens of feet to hundreds of feet) and it takes 3 days just to go one way.
Southern France around the Milieu area. Beautiful country great food and friendly people.

Must be the time I spent in the navy, but I don't find being on a ship very relaxing. Maybe it is the overwhelming amount of people... I would like to do the Alaska cruise though.

Hawaii. Specifically Kauai, I fell in love with it and can't wait to go back someday.
I've been to Canada for half an hour. Even drove SOUTH from Michigan to get there! No joke...there's one or two places where you can do that, around Detroit. Kinda like the couple spots in Arizona where you can drive north to Mexico LOL...
Love Yosemite, and I'll second Airbozo's northern CA redwoods, if you've never seen them they're well worth it.
I visited a friend in Seattle several years ago, and went to Mt. Rainier in April. It had just snowed, there was nobody around...only animal I saw all day was one bird. And it started snowing while I was there, it was amazing. I'll never forget the silence, unlike anything I'd experienced before. The forest around the mountain (that I visited a couple days before) was also amazing, and I've love to go back.

places I want to go -
south pacific islands, ireland, scotland, england, germany, france, spain, australia, thailand, new zealand, antarctica, peru, brazil, kenya, egypt, russia, china, and on and on...

Artoo: I've been to Russia, I highly recommend it. :D

The best vacation I've ever had was to Vancouver Island, in the pacific northwest. My wife and I went on our honeymoon there. We flew in to Victoria, rented a car, and drove across the island to Tofino. AMAZING. What an epic drive.. steeps, sweeps, killer views, and very little traffic. :)

Loads of fun to drive it.. I highly recommend it. Plus, it's an absolutely amazing place, and the people/sights/food/beaches are epic.

Yeah, this. I took a cruise once and didn't care for it. As a rule, present company excluded, people suck. Not my idea of a vacation to be stuck in a big floating can with a whole BUNCH of them. Until I get rich enough to rent the whole damned boat I'll not do it again.
