So, yesterday I decided to get my whole household running Windows 7. My household consists of 4 computers, two ultra-modern gaming computers that are mine :P, a media center that is just barely modern, and then my dads computer.
Here's the specs:
Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz Socket 478
512MB DDR 400 + 256MB DDR 333
40GB Quantum Fireball (I believe) IDE
Sapphire 9600XT 256MB (my very first gfx card )
So I install windows 7 on here not expecting much. I get it installed and it runs smooth, even with Aero glass on! Its sure as hell running faster than the previous installation of XP. My dad has used it only a couple times since I've installed that, but he already loves the speed of the computer and a few Seven features.
By the way, Microsoft's biggest "win" on 7 was the networking; it makes my life sooooo much easier.
