I have an Intel Q9550. These are known to be great for overclocking. Last night I decided to give it a little try.
1.2v on CPU
1.4v on FSB
OC from 2.83Ghz to 3.570. This is on air!!!
I also have been tinkering with my 9800GTs in SLI. The stock is 670/975. I've been fiddling with it some, but it seems that on stock cooling it is really easy to overclock 740/1030 no problem and almost no temp increase. Strange.

not bad, get it under some water and volt mod the video cards. i think after volt mods on my 8600GT's i was able to get 300MHz more on the core and 400MHz on the mem.

I've been using EVGA precision. I may try another program to bump up the voltage, and right now everything is so stable it's kinda nutty. I feel like I could push the video cards quite a bit more. I'm not so sure about the CPU. I'd just as well just let it max out where it is.
The only time I'll leave it like this is when I'm playing Bioshock at 1920x1200 or UT3 or any other game made with the UT engine. All my other apps run fast enough for me, so no need to heat my room any more than I do unless I'm going to use that speed.

I've got my pentium D820 running @3.3 from its stock 2.8 right now and its rock-solid, I may try to bump it up a notch :)

My Phenom II at 2.8 can top 4 on water, and I have a validation of 3.91 on air.

I didnt do any intensive testing at that speed, but I dialed it back to 3.5, and it was solid as a rock for months until I sold it. :)
