As above, I have some pretty interesting questions, and I'd love some advice. Mostly pertaining to moldmaking and laying up complex shapes.

I've worked with rigid sheets before, but not hand molded stuff. sorry. I can tell you that when you cut/sand it, make sure to wear a resperator!!!

Grew up in a body shop-first thing I think of when working with stuff like that.

I don't have any experience myself, BUT there is a forum I lurk at .. http://www.fiberglassforums.com/

They have some absolute masters there. The forum is a lot like this one, and there are plenty of worklogs. There is specifically a guide on there that has to do with mold making that should give you a pretty good start.
