I should get a list ready. I wonder how close I could get to having an arc speaker kit from there.

Mark your calendars folks, On January the 7th 2010 SparkFun is giving every household a $100 (until they reach $100k), if that’s not an incentive to wake up early, what is?

Was anyone here successful? I got to my shopping cart once but after that, nada. Turns out ~70,000 people tried to get in over a 1.75 hour period. Twitter blew up with the chatter and Sparkfun moved its google rank.

An interesting SEO experiment if nothing else. Data for the traffic is supposed to be posted on Friday.

Edit: Fun stats are up. http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/categories.php

I was one of the lucky ones. My order finally completed about an hour and a half in.

Thanks!

What amazed me was all the sour grapes on Hack-A-Day. Its a shame at all the blame that was being passed around. Everything from Comcast blocking users, to Hack-A-Day ruining it by announcing it, to SparkFun's incompetence or SparkFun's diabolical plan to thwart folks out of free stuff. I wish everyone could have gotten in on the deal. I think it was just luck of the draw and how the packets landed.

Yeah, same thing on twitter and Sparkfun's web comments. A bunch of whiner's saying sparkfun ripped them off or cost them 2 hours. Some people just couldn't read. I lol'd tho and placed my order anyway just to say thanks.
