That's a nice little option if you have spare parts laying around. It'll save you around $100 or so if you do.

Just give me the motherboard and the screen though please, I'll build everything else myself. :p

For the price after rebate ($149.99).. that's pretty much what you are paying for! You just end up getting:

3-in-1 Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS)
2 Watt Stereo Speakers
95% Full size 83-key Keyboard
PS2 Touch Pad with 2 keys
3 Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
AC Power Adapter

for free. :D

I think you would be hard pressed to put something together with all of these features for less. As for netbooks go.. you can put a pretty nice 2GB RAM/250GB HDD for about 250 bucks (after rebate). Not too shabby.

Yep!

Ohh damn, I wonder if the RAM from my dead Asus EEEpc would work in it. At any rate its a good deal, saves on the OS costs from all the windows netbooks. For $200 I might just get one, if the rebate actually goes through its only $150.

What a waste. The HD alone would be another expense you can avoid by getting a regular model. In store, we've sold several for $229
