trying to pick up a good enough vid card for my dad to play on the tv. he mainly plays 2d games like the ones facebook has or maplestory. his pc is running xp and has a gig of ram(gonna get him another 1gig stick). so far these are my choices

the 7200gs good enough or go with either of the 8400s? any other suggestions are welcomed

8400.. overkill for now, but who knows what he'll do in the future. :)

Yea, i'm just seeing if he has a tv with hdmi then you could get the most out of a video card with one.
