Hey,

I have been wanting to mod a computer for some time, but I just have been to scared to do so. I have been thinking of how I could mabey find a cheap computer, mabey find one some one threw out but I don't know where to look. Anyways, I am scared to really cut of my case, but I do have experience on building speaker boxes for cars, and I have a details step by step guide on how to make a fiberglass form box. I was woundering if this would make a good computer case, or can anyone give me an easy to understand step-by-step prossess on how to mod a computer with detailed instruction for the hard core noob... :D . Thank you so much.

Best detailed instructions are in the Work logs section.

Just pick a project get comfy and start reading.

There are some where peeps moded there normal box.
Then There are others that are building there own case (me)
....You'll be amazed at what you will see. And You'll learn how they did it, what worked what didn't.

If you want a written format of how to mod.....Go to TBCS's homepage and click on the link to Paul (CrimsonSky)'s book. It takes you through how to mod.....Never read it but have hear it's good.....and after meeting and spending time with Paul (seeing his work up close) I'm sure that it will help you out.

Good Luck,
Crazybillybob

PS: best advise.....Start small, and don't be afraid to fail........Some of my best Ideas don't work the first time....But I learn, Try again and they come out looking good in the end.

You wouldn't be the same Mattman from the Dark Basic Forums would you? I remember a guy there with the same handle.

Game programming community. Probably not the same guy, but there's a contender to the mattman name ;)

Best sign up for everything before he steals your username!

I find that the guys at the local computer shop throw away tons of wrecked cases all the time. You can probably get them to fork over one if they're friendly enough.
