I did this yesterday with my new Dagr and Auto Air Transparent Root Beer. Just on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper.

What? No cracks? Missing teeth? Man, that's one pristine skull! You know I'm just playing. :p

That looks pretty damn good though. How long did it take?

Thanks everyone. Having this new brush is like night and day compared to my old. For one, it's a gravity feed brush, so I can actually spray with lower air pressure as compared to before. It's also a top shelf brush made by Devilbiss. It's also been modified and customized by the guy who helped design it. He polished the needle, shaved the trigger, lapped the nozzle, oiled everything, and custom etched his logo on the paint cup and cap. I have control like I've never known before, and pulling hairlines is a breeze. This took me about 20 minutes. It's just a test piece with the new brush and paint. I have a bigger version of the same stencil. I'm gonna break that out and see if I can get at least an hour to spend on it, and really pay attention to detail while also using a reference picture.

That's an awesome start with the new brush Rick. I am kinda jealous of that brush. It would be a waste in my hands though as I still can not pull a straight dagger stroke that's not round at the top.

Don't worry about making them straight right now, Charles. Practice getting the motions down, but also practice making just straight lines. Once you master both, you'll be able to pull straight daggers.

Looking good rick. I haven't had time to pick up my brush in a week. Hers hoping for an hour or 2 this weekend.

:) Great detail on the skull for a 20min test, I'm already glad I bought my airbrush kit, got a long way to go before I get good on it though, cheapest airbrushes you can think of :D, but the dagr airbrush is the 1 I might step up to once I get to grips with using a low end brush, I figure if I can get reasonably ok with a cheapo airbrush then a quality brush would be excellent.
