I say they are both idiots. Drinking underage is stupid. I'm 23 and don't drink anyway, but it's just not worth it when it is kinda a big crime. Three months grounded seems reasonable to me, although the parents should be grounded too for raising a kid that would think for 1 second that having beer in his room was a good idea. The girl is a moron and a whore and should have known that revenge would come after a three month grounding sentence. Did I mention she's a whore? What kind of a family is this? Am I allowed to say whore on this site?

I think a good point was made in the article though.
While the boy was grounded for three months, the effects of his actions will stick around in her life for quite a while and since its now on the internet that could be a very long while.
The boy will probably wear his punishment as a badge and be seen as a man's man for drinking beer, while the girl will be called a slut until she graduates from college and moves to a small town with no internet connection.
Is his three months of boredom worth her years of social embarassment and shame?

I guess I just think accountability is accountability. If you can't suffer the consequences of your actions then don't do them. Yeah maybe his revenge was harsh, but it was only exposing her for what she is. It's not like it's something in her distant past that he is bringing up over and over again and never letting her move on from. He's showing the world, and probably her parents, what she has been doing. Let the consequence follow for as long as it will. I think I would agree with his logic, if his secrets are out in the open because she snitched, then so should her's.
