Im looking for a new graphics card for my budget pc build. I currently have an EVGA 9800 GT card with a 600 mhz with 512 mb memory... Ive noticed that over time that its getting a little jittery in 1680 x 1050 wen i play games on it, and i would rather not scale it down if i don't have to... Pricerange around 150 - 170. Also, i would rather go with an ATI card over an Nvidia. Tanks guys.

For that pricerange, I would go with a 1GB Radeon 5770. Here's a good one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462

I'd have to agree with that as well. Though, prices still need to drop a bit, it is a pretty good deal for the performance you are getting.

Ok... so i was getting ready to order on newegg, and i found these, as far as i can tell they are the same card, with different coolers.. So which one will run cooler? I have a 120 mm intake fan next to the GPU, the temp is usually 65~C under load with my 9800. Thanks for all the advice guys

Yeah, they do appear to be identical other than the HS/F. The second one is more fully ducted, so might give you better cooling, but having never seen them compared, I really don't know.

the full ducted one will blow the hot GPU air right out the back of your case, not around the inside of your case. my 3870x2 is fully ducted, and when I run furmark I can warm my hands VERY nicely with the hot air thats coming out the back. I'm glad that hot air isnt going into my case

That sounds like a better scenerio, as i have some goofy airflow configuration in my case (ill have to post pictures here some time) due to the fact that my CPU fan blows its air towards the mobo. Thanks, i hope to be getting the new GPU soon, but i have to wait till i donate enough plasma. =)) all my new parts come from Bio Life, :D
