so my buddies truck just recently died... and we know the issues... the clutch hydrolic line melted on the exhaust manifold... what would be a safe replacement at a very low cost? the repairs has been quoted at about $100 CAD... which is absolutely extortionate... its just plastic line.. 3/16ths inner diameter... any assistance would be greatly appreciated

*edit* its a 1980 ford F350 400cu V8

it might be a plastic hose made out of a special heat resistant material. :-P

Which is why it melted in the first place... LOL Couldn't resist.

Order the line direct from ford and replace it yourself.

Yea or find your I/D for that line (i guess measure a broken piece?) and your specific fitting style and order a super bad ass steel braided clutch cable. (probably a longer overall length so you can route it away from the exhaust and moving hazards that busted a cap in the first one)

Something along these lines (http://enjukuracing.com/agency-power-steel-braided-clutch-line-nissan-350z-p-6468.html)
