Its snowing here for the first time in 12+ years. We had a 15min flurry last year but it was over before it started.

They say we are only going to get 1-3" but I measured it at my house and at my grandmothers and there is already 6" on the ground and we have 8 more hours of this before it moves out.

I have already taken like 1500 pics and plan on filling up a 4gb card tomorrow morning.

Ahaha, I just saw that one the news. Apparently all the southern airports are closed because they aren't equipped with snow removal trucks.

Make sure to post ur pics!

I need to take some pics too. I'm in Atlanta, and we have about 2 or 3 inches of snow right now, and the snowing has tapered off. About the airports, I hope the ATL Hartsfield Jackson airport is not closed, because my dad is flying in right now.

6 inches is impressive. I wish we were getting that much down here.

Pffft 6".. I'm in the Philly area, we got owned with at least 3 feet. 2 blizzards in week, and we had one last month.

What I meant was more like "impressive for the southern US."

60 degrees here today. We've had ~2 to 3 feet of snow over the last couple of weeks. Today, we had rivers in the streets.

Story of my life. Our snow started last Friday morning, we got ~28-30", then on Tuesday night got hit with another 4-8". I couldn't even make it in to the office until Thursday...it's a good thing I had enough stuff to work on from home Mon-Wed.

You guys gotta realize, the close businesses and schools down around here if someone even mentions flurries. The roads are closed here and we only have about 8" average. I measured 9" here at the peak. 9" here is like 9 feet up north.

We got 2to 3 inches around here our Pizza Hut was about the only one delivering . The main highways were good lol the side streets were everyone lives not so much but on a side note i made about $30 in tips for 4hrs .
which equals about $15 an hour so im good i may not get a dime tomorrow.
I take it as it comes .

$30 in tips in 4 hrs is $7.50/hr :D

here in MA there may be 1/2" or so here and there, mostly bare grass though. It's sad that AL. and MS. have more snow than we do. Suck worse that I work @ a snowmobile shop, and business sucks this year cuz there's no snow!

Snow is cool for a little while to me, but I tire of it quickly. Last Monday was really cool though. It was about 2 degrees outside and all of the trees were caked with ice. The sun was just coming up with clear skies on my ride home. I really wish I had my camera with me. It would have made for some amazing shots!

Last Sunday at my house...

Michigan hasn't been hit too hard yet either, which makes me think Mother Nature is cruelly saving up her snow to dump everything all at once...probably in May or June. Bitch.

Many people accociate sleds with just winter, when in reality, I ride them in sand, dirt, water...etc. They are an all terrain vehicle :D

I thought I read somewhere online that all 49 states had at lease some amount of snow on them somewhere. All except Hawaii. Apparently this has never happened before.

they have competitions on the lake near where I live for snowmobile races. pretty fun to watch. maybe someday I'll compete, when I have my own sled lol. Going across water on a sled is awesome though, as long as you dont get too wet and freeze to death. lol

Was just up @ my parents cabin, bout 3 1/2 feet of snow up there. pretty low for us.
