I have this for sale locally on craigslist (http://rochester.craigslist.org/sys/1604335871.html) but figured I'd throw it up here as well. Seller needs to cover shipping if not local.

I have for sale my Gateway M6817 Dual Core Laptop and a number of great accessories I used with it. This is a great laptop and I am only selling because I bought a new netbook as I needed something physically smaller. This is a great laptop and very capable, I am including a number accessories I used with this that really made using this almost like having a desktop. More information on the accessories below. The computer is great for internet, media (built in media controls above the keyboard) I used to watch movies on this all the time, schoolwork, and even some gaming. I have been able to play games such as Half Life 2 and Portal on this with some of the settings turned down. The built in webcam is great for video chat with Skype and other programs. The laptop comes with Windows Vista Home Premium which runs excellent on this, I have tested this with Windows 7 and it runs amazing on this if you wish to upgrade after purchasing it. This laptop is excellent for a student, or family needing a solid computer. If you need help setting this up or learning how to use this I can help you out. I can install some software if needed/wanted.

I'm going to be upfront about the few issues this does have so there is no confusion. The battery DOES NOT hold a charge for more than 10 minutes unplugged. This is plenty of time to save and shut down if the power goes out or quickly check for an email. If you need a battery the existing battery CAN be replaced, there are numerous websites online that sell new batteries for this laptop. The laptop has been used a good amount and as such there are a number of scratches on the exterior of the case, rest assured these are all cosmetic and everything functions perfectly. I took very good care of this computer and it has never taken any falls or abuse.

The accessories really make this a great computer to use, with them it's just like using a desktop but you still have the option to take the computer with you. The external monitor is great for multitasking and allows for much more screen real estate. Using an external monitor with a laptop is a great way to increase productivity while at your desk, I will show you how to hook this up and use it. The wireless keyboard and mouse are great when using the computer for extended periods such as typing papers or light gaming. The keyboard light is great when typing at night, I used for the occasion where I had to finish a paper at night while my roommate was asleep.
