Hello. I am going to start modding my case and I have a few questions. I have a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811208008.

First off, I am going to install some Sunbeam EL Blue Wire around the Gray X on the front. hoever, I can't find a hole to fit the cable through. I don't want to drill a hole in my case... (in case [no pun] I dont like it or it doesn't work) I don't want to drill a hole in one of the slot punchouts at the back because then I would have to run the wire all the way back to the front. There looks to be a way I could snake it through the door hinge without jamming it, but I'm not sure.

Second off, I'm installing a top case window. http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=120199&Product_Code=PX821995

I'm going to use a nibbler, http://www.coolerguys.com/840556056751.html
, are they any good? Thanks for your help!

I have used an air-nibbler before, just like the one you linked to and it worked great. I can't speak from experience about the manual version, but I would assume they work good. One limitation of the one I used was that it nibbled out large round pieces (about .25in around) making it impossible to cut sharp corners.

I guess that's okay because the window has rounded corners and I'm using a rubber lining... Thanks for the tip though because I heard from a few places that nibblers aren't so good. I'm trying to cut through 1.4-1/2 inch steel.

Keep in mind now that the one I was using was powered by a 5 foot tall air compresor and could chew through a car door. A manual may be alot more work. I'm sure someone on this forum has used one and will chime in soon, there is a wealth of experience around here.

Thanks, I'm going to go get some pictures of my case and photoshop them to see how it would look with the mods XD

Nibblers are fine they are good for round corners, I have used a manual one but that was like when I was back in 2000 so I cant really remember!

Does anyone know the lifespan of that neon wire? I've heard it only stays good for a few months before it looses it's intensity.

you could pull a dry run with the EL wire - hook it up and tape it in place, and if you don't like it, don't do it.
