Ok, someone just confirm what I'm pretty sure is already true and tell me that the presence of strong magnetic fields *very* close to the board of a video card is not going to screw anything up.
There's no magnetic storage on the board, I realize that, but I don't know enough about the individual components to be certain this won't a problem.
Thanks!!

Haha! Why do you ask?
As long as the magnet is relatively stationary it shouldn't induce any charges in wires or traces...nothing should be affected in theory. It could affect a PSU if it's close enough and that would be bad.
You never know what those wacky board manufacturers are up to though...so I'm in no way responsible for my OPINION here!:D Disclaimer: I'm sometimes wrong. Don't do anything hazardous based on what I say.
Ok, with that out of the way, I think it should be OK as long as it isn't so strong that it could cause physical damage to the board. e.g. crushing or pulling parts off of it.
/\ This. It should be fine...should. You've definitely got my wondering what you're gonna be doing with it though. :P

Probably using it to mount something, like a cover or a panel. I would advise keeping magnets away from electronics, period. Just my 2 cents. :D
