I've saved my money and I'm waiting for one. Specifically with crossfire 5870's. Asus will be selling a single 5870 lappy soon but I don't know.

How about anyone else?

The Asus that you're referencing is the G73JH (http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=8je5Ot4HBnKOdT81). It's actually out now (kinda), apparently the first shipment to resellers is tomorrow (the 4th). There are three different models, the A1, A2, and X1.
X1: single HDD, no blu-ray (dvd-rw instead)
A2: no blu-ray
A1: everything

A1 base stats:
i7-720
8GB DDR3-1066
2x 500GB HDDs
17.3" 1920x1080 display
Mobility Radeon 5870
BD-ROM/DVD-RW drive

Links at ZipZoomFly:
A1: $1,600: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10012171&prodlist=celebros
A2: $1,700: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10012173&prodlist=celebros

If you're feeling adventurous, you can customize them at xoticpc.com, but I know just about nothing about them, so I would be hesitant to buy from them.

To my knowledge, it is the only DX11 capable laptop on the market atm (though Alienware is apparently coming out with a low-end laptop with a GT 335M), and I can promise you that you will not be able to find this performance for this price anywhere else right now.

The only company I know of that does dual-GPU laptops anymore is Sager (http://www.sagernotebook.com/default.php), and they're an exclusively nVidia shop as far as I can tell.

To be completely honest, at 1920x1080, there's really nothing on the market right now that a 5870 is not gonna be able to push with everything cranked up all the way, and adding another 5870 would increase the price, heat, power consumption, and size so much that imo it would not be worth it.

The G73JH isn't even a big hulking beast of a laptop either.
42.0 x 31.0 x 1.89~5.68 cm (W x D x H)
3.85 kg (with 8 cell battery)
Ok, so it's not a lightweight, but compared to others in it power class, it's downright small.

Thanks for the info, although it's single GPU so I don't think I would be interested. In fact, most laptop companies sell a dual GPU lappy, you just have to customize it. The alienware m17x can have dual 4870's.

You're right, I forgot about the m17x. I am pretty certain though, that the m17x and the Sager NP8120 are the only dual-GPU laptops left on the market. Asus used to make one, but they discontinued that feature a generation or two ago. Heck, even Falcon Northwest doesn't make a dual-GPU laptop anymore. HP/Voodoo don't do high performance laptops anymore, Dell moved all their high performance stuff to Alienware, ah, there is Hypersonic, but the only dual-GPU laptop they do is dual 8800M GTXs. OOC, why do you need dual GPUs? The 5870 is a hideously powerful card (I'm quite certain it would outperform the dual 4870s in the m17x or the dual 285s in the NP8120, and definitely the dual 8800M GTXs), and the scaling rate for Crossfire/SLI still maxes out somewhere around 40%, iirc. Sorry, I don't mean to seem like I'm pushing the Asus on you, I just can't think of any situation where dual gpus in a laptop would be necessary anymore.
