if you want to do something like boss you are going to need alot of doh. i've seen boss in person and it is not something cheap.

I was wondering about the same thing, I want a black inside to match the out side of my case. But I was wondering if the black colour would retain heat heat and would it make cooling a lot harder?

you could also have a friend do the powder coating for you.

yeah. for the spraypainting though, there's alot of steps.

basically, it's sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, paint, then repeat until desired paintjob and it's nice and smooth, then buff the crap outta it (if you want to).

it acutally gets alot more in depth, there are guides on it.

I keep hearing that term "powder coating", can someone tell me what it means?

Powder coating is when a magnetic colored powder is sprayed onto the surface of something and then baked on. It is insanely durable and looks amazing and is harder to scratch than paint. You can see it alot in the automotive world on things such as chasis and the like. It's much nicer than paint in most cases IMO.

For what you want, I would recommend sanding the chasis with 400 girt sand paper then spray a primer over the whole chasis and then start spraying several coats of high gloss black, amkign sure that they are very thin coats. Runs suck, especially when they're black runs. After you spray about 3 light coats and the surface is as dark and shiny as you want, get some 1500 or 2000 grits sand paper and then wet sadn the entire thing. Remember to use LOTS of water to wash away the grime created by the sanding.

theres actually a spray paint they make for barbeques and whatnot so they dont get insanely hot. unfortunately it isnt the prettiest of paints (kinda a grimy matt finish) but then again, i have never wet sanded my barbeque to get that automotive finish on it.

im just wondering if this would be overkill...im not sure how much heat regular spray paint would retain inside your case.

I don't think that the heat retained by the paint would really be a problem. It really can't retain all that much anyway. You'll be fine.
