here is the second project going on! i bought a RROD xbox off of one of my friends that was under warranty, and he also gave me another Xbox that had RRODed, but was no longer under warranty. So i googled "what to do with my broken Xbox 360", and i found a link to people that were putting PC's inside 360 cases.

Immediately i was drawn in. I started doing research and after a couple hours i had all the info i needed. So here are the parts i chose. For right now im skipping on an optical drive due to lack of funds, but will probably get a blue ray drive soon. im going with a black and white color scheme!

MOBO/CPU COMBO : ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core 441 NVIDIA ION Mini ITX /// 1.6ghz Dual Core Atom 330 CPU

Hmm, I like. Are you going to do something special with the power switch?

kind of. i bought a power switch that im going to put on top. Im just going to get a bright neon blue led to put behind it so the ring glows that color. the actual button wont be functional tho. i knew there was prob some way to get it hooked up, but i really didnt feel like going thru the trouble.

I GOT THE PARTS TODAY! AND I FINISHED PAINTING!

pics of paint job, pics of parts later.

It should just be a matter of taking the leads from the switch that's already there and connecting them to the header on your MBB. You might even be able to use the same connector that's already there. Great paint job! (Try not to embed such high res pics though.)

Nicely done; looks good. (And the smaller pics are much more bandwidth friendly.)
