I figure I would ask this here among some of the craziest modders and enthusiasts.

I have been really thinking about getting into product development for computer accesories. I have already have a good coverage of vector graphic design and architectural drafting. I have always loved the idea of modifications and looking into detail on what can be improved on top of an already great design.

My question to you is what type of education and any of type of knowledge do i need to seek to get myself into this field? I was looking into product marketing but I want more of the engineering development area more.

ANY ideas and help would be much appreciated!

Well, an industrial design degree is probably what you want. Industrial design deals with the development of products, (phones, speakers, ovens, etc.) Pretty much anything that can be purchased at the store was designed by someone in the industrial design field. Part of what the degree deals with is how to design products so they can be mass produced.

After that you would want to specialize in whatever interests you.
