So the res im making is a simple box type res, that will hang from the top of the case, the bottom will be frosted, and the two back sides will be frosted as well, when all is said and done, i will light it with Blue LEDs. Ill be using Bits Power 1/2 in fittings for the res.

I made some templates from paper for the sides i needed

built my plexi breaking device.

we get this

I repeated this process over and over

New update.

So, while looking at everthing i noticed something terrible. The edges were slightly curved... this means... SANDING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the black line is straight from one corner to the other on the plexi, (i did check to make sure this was a 90* angle too)

After some elbow grease:

http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz302/diluzio91/IMG_0458.jpg

Its perfectly straight. Which is good for a seal. I repeated this procedure for all 6 pieces of plexi.

I was also forced to create a sanding thingamabob to make sure the sanding was perfectly straight... Worked pretty well too...

On monday ill be headed to hobby lobby for some acid etching materials to etch the plexi. I've been thinking of etching a design onto the bottom, does anyone here know how to make "Diluzio" look cool that will be easy to etch? my mom is pretty awesome with it, here is a pic of a glass she did (part of a set for her parents)

So thats how far i am until the fittings get here and i do the etching.

Now, i just have to get a hold of a thread maker? (no clue what its called at the moment... its 1am here) that will make the right size threads for these to screw into... Cheap of course. any links or advice would be appreciated on this!

That'd be a tap. Specifically G1/4 size. Good luck, hope that turns out good.
