View Full Version : Finally back on two wheels!
Ah spring, how I do love thee.. let me count the ways... you make the world warm enough for me to ride my motorcycle again... that's it for now. :D
Oh man, seriously, it is sooo good to be riding again. I finally started getting my motorcycle back in working order last thursday, and a battery recharge, carburetor seal cleaning, ...a rainy day and a cold day... later, I was finally able to ride again today! :D :banana::banana: :D
I had forgotten how fun it is... I swear, on the way to work today I was literally giggling like a little girl. :P
That's it. :D

I guess people around here didn't have the patience to wait for consistently warm weather to start riding again. We had a freak 60F day and they all decided to get their bikes out. Two weeks later and we haven't seen another day like that but those clowns are still out riding around...even in the snow. Suicidal if you ask me.

I was just having a motorcycle conversation on another forum and found this:

Pure sex on two wheels!
It is an ECOSSE (http://www.ecossemoto.com/index.htm) Heretic.
Mmm, now that is a pretty bike. No need for any of that stupid body paneling; just throw everything out there for all to see. :D

My favorite type of bike...
Did you check out the spec's? 200mph, 200HP! Plus the thing costs aropund $100k! (or used to)
Very nice. ...that's just over 4x the power of my bike... though it's also about 100 times what I paid for mine... :whistler:

10x what I _originally_ paid for mine and 2x the hp (once the final tune is done).
I think the prices have come down, but it is still a custom build. They also made a superbike complete with all the plastic fairings (and an odd chain setup so you can tuck in tight and not have the chain slapping your ankle). They said it cost them 3.5 mil to design and produce the first model. That was back in '07. I would be curious to see where they are now.
Here is a shot of my bike;

Not on Michigan roads you don't. Awesome nonetheless though.
EDIT: Not going to score as many 'awesome points' as that jet bike, but I did once see a guy that custom built his bike with a shaft-driven small block V8...it was pretty wicked as well. No mufflers either...it shook the ground.

Airbozo: I thought you had a V-rod.. or at least I always pictured you riding one. :)
Here we go:
1980 Honda CM400T
400cc V-twin
~47hp originally (honestly no clue what it is now...probably closer to 40, tbh), no tuning/modifications ...and yet I can still smoke most cars I come across :P power to weight, baby :D

EDIT:
It should be noted, I don't normally come across many really high performance cars.. According to a chart I found a while ago though, new, my bike had the same power to weight ratio as a Porsche Carrera GT. :D

Nope. Still riding my '95 sporty. (although it is not a 1200 anymore...)
I like the Vrod, but if I buy another HD, I am getting something that will ride 2 comfortably for a long ride. My sportster is nice for me on a semi-long ride, but anything over 8 hours makes me walk funny.

I really should get a bike. Anyone on the east coast want to trade a Ninja 250R for my Ford ZX2.

Obscene. Those need roll-cages and 6-point harnesses!...at the very least, a seat-back to keep you on the thing if you decide to ever open the throttle halfway.:D
