So I was reading an article about how apparently the Georgia House of Reps passed a bill to track and better enforce tickets against slow drivers in the left lane...and someone leaves a comment making a valid point about it's well and good to have the law, but will police enforce it, etc. They go on to bemoan the current unenforced laws, among other things, AGAINST "wreckless" driving... LOL...too perfect. :D
guess we'll have to start driving like we're all in a bumper cars contest since there's laws saying you can't drive wrecklessly. I love it when people screw up English. :)

I hate wreckless driving driving! It takes all the fun out of it... :bunny:

That law was seriously needed. I drive in Georgia a few times a week and most of it is on interstate 20 and people would drive slow as hell in both lanes and traffic would some times back up for over half a mile. I mean if the speed limit is 70 or 75 then by god obey the speed limit or move to the right lane so those of us who want to do 80 or more can go around you.

Here "reckless driving" is the actual term used to for all moving violations that are not speeding violations. I do see the humor in the typo though.

I feel like this could go either way. Yes, it would be great to be able to make the slower drivers get out of the way, but if you're a police officer, how do you pick between the guy going slow in a 'fast' lane or the guy passing him, going over the speed limit? :P

yeah, slow people in the left lane bug the heck out of me too, although I will admit every once in a while I discover *I'm* the slow guy LOL...usually though that's when I'm doin' 80 and other cars are trying to go 90. that is one thing I hate, when I'm already going over the limit by a good amount and I've got someone tailing me. Gotta love SoCal...

And yeah X88X, my guess is the cops'll go for the speeder every time. (fun side note - my dad lived in Germany for a year in college, and he said a friend of his once got pulled over on the Autobahn at 80+ mph because he was going too slow LOL)

Actually I think the cops will write a lot of the slow tickets as its a valid way for them to pad the budget.

Yeah, left lane here is fast/passing, right lane is slow/entering/exit, center is cruising.

It is reversed here as we drive on the left.

After flying for 13 hours and getting into a rental car you get really ****en confused when switching sides of roads.

No kidding - my grandparents went to England many years ago, and got in a pretty bad head-on accident (no deaths, but bad injuries). My grandfather had made a turn from the proper lane, and without thinking went into the wrong lane.

Simon, your flag there is Australia, right? I thought only Britain and Japan drove on the left side...guess I'll have to add Aussies to my mental list.
