So who here is studying? What are you studying for? Have you finished with education for now?

For the purposes of this thread, graduate level includes postgrad

This thread is sponsored by the ASP.net project I'm procrastinating from

Your "I'm still at school" section is going to grab both Uni students and high school students, without making any distinction between them. Don't know if you overlooked that or not, just pointing it out.

Dual Major - Software Engineering + Mathematics

Yeah, bit of british cross-cultural misunderstanding there

Second Nightstrain's comment; over here 'graduate level' refers to post-Bachelors.

I'm in University and studying for professional qualifications. Gotta get all those random acronyms to stick on my business card. :P

I'm currently not in school but I've been taking art classes at the art store in town. I eventually plan on going to art school (or maybe something else, we'll see what I decide on in a few years).

yeah fair enough, should have clarified 'high school', 'studying toward graduate level' and 'studying above graduate level'

I have a bachelor's degree in music (classical piano), then a couple years later I went to school for 2 more years for art and 3D modeling/animation. Didn't actually get a degree, a 2nd BA wouldn't get me any further and would have cost a lot more money to retake all the classes that didn't transfer from my previous school (one of the UC campuses no less). So yeah, I'm done with school.

Went to a trade college for a while but it was just to get a job (as opposed to a career). I found a job while I was going so I didn't see the need to continue.

One of these days I'll decide what I want to do and maybe I'll go back. My plan is for this to happen before I'm eligible for AARP. I'd better get cracking.

(I probably wouldn't have answered this at all but the last option made me laugh, and laughter is hard to come by. Thanks.)

Wow that is really confusing.

Maybe a Bachelor's degree is harder to get over here :think:

Graduate = Bachelor's Degree From a University

Or maybe there's just more social pressure to get post-HS education over here? ;) (IDK, tbh I have no clue what the social outlook is over there.) I think it's just that for whatever reason, HS+Bachelor's is considered the normal expected education in most fields, so 'graduate' is anything past the expected norm?

yeah, I would agree with that. you can get jobs without a post-high school education, but your options are MUCH broader in this country if you at least have a bachelor's degree. They broaden more with each successive degree, and one I sort of wish I'd gotten and (who knows) may still go back and get is a Masters in Business Admin - one of those can lead to much higher paying jobs/careers. Not necessarily, but it can.
