Hey guys, Today I started my computer and right away my Kasperski popped up saying I had a trojan attack. It was an adobe install file. I tried doing a google search for it, but I couldn't find anything except for stuff from 2009.

Anyone else ran into this?

I ran into something similar when I tried to uninstall CS3. Long story short, I blew that particular partition away and installed a fresh copy of 7.

The only thing I've seen that is remotely close to that is the failed installation of Adobe Reader 9.13.. I had to go into the internet options, hit the advanced tab, scroll to the bottom, and disable the "enable windows memory protection" option.

The only thing I can think of for you is that the Adobe updater might be trying to run in the background.

Kaspersky is awfully proud of their huge detection rate, too bad they get about 90% false positives. :P

If it was just a false positive, then I wish I could somehow report it to them to make sure.

although Kasperski said it deleted it, and a full scan said I'm protected, In the back of my mind, I'm still worried that something might still be there. You never know for sure.

You could always try to download the offline installer, and re-scan it. Maybe try a different version, or a different source? Maybe try to scan it with another AV as well?

/\ This. If you ever doubt your AV software, try it on virustotal (http://www.virustotal.com/) (or similar), to see what other vendors think.
